Paint Party Friday - Upcycled ACEOs

Baby Sea Turtle ACEO Painting For Sale

Purple Hummingbird ACEO Painting for Sale

Pastel Dragonfly ACEO Painting ON SALE NOW

I am having so much fun creating ACEOs from recycled cereal box material. I took my parrots out on the porch this afternoon, and drew and painted while they soaked up the sun =) I had already cut up a Big Special K box into 2.5x3.5in pieces, and primed them with acrylic paints of different colors. Today, I let my free spirit fly and these three ACEOs are the result.

Hope you are enjoying the party! Can't wait to see what everyone else is up to =) Happy Easter!! Kathryn

ps-If you're not yet familiar with ACEOs, they are Art Cards and you can find more info about them at my ACEO Gallery

  10. I love to recycle cereal boxes, too, and was just thinking this week that the cardboard seems thinner than it used to. I guess it's not something you'd otherwise notice. :) LOVE the hummingbird!

  12. Love these, especially the hummingbird. We feed the hummers all Summer. They were my mother's favorite bird and she is the one that urged me to feed them. Everytime I see a hummer or a picture of one, I think of my mom.
